An Orchestra of Voices

Chanticleer shares the beauty and wonder of the holidays. Twelve voices soar in perfect harmony, weaving together centuries of music to illuminate the joy, mystery, and spirit of Christmas. From musical moments of hushed reverence to rousing celebration, it’s happening on the Saturday afternoon of Thanksgiving weekend as an stress-free start to your holiday season.

About Chanticleer

Chanticleer – an “orchestra of voices” named for the “clear-singing” rooster in Geoffrey Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales, is a Grammy Award-winning vocal ensemble hailed by the Boston Globe as “breathtaking in its accuracy of intonation, purity of blend, of color and swagger of style.” Rooted in the Renaissance, Chanticleer’s repertoire has expanded to include classical, gospel, jazz and popular music and reflects a deep commitment to the commissioning of new compositions and arrangements.

Founded in San Francisco in 1978 by singer and musicologist Louis Botto, Chanticleer quickly took its place as one of the most prolific recording and touring ensembles in the world, selling more than one million recordings and performing thousands of live concerts to audiences around the globe.
