Need to de-stress after work?
Mustard Seed Market & Cafe is partnering with Tuesday Musical to offer a free Decompression Chamber on Thursday, September 26, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Mustard Seed’s Highland Square location.
Free and open to the public, the event will feature music by the Escher String Quartet and Mustard Seed’s usual food and bar menu.
It will happen both inside the Mustard Seed Café and on its 600-square-foot second-story patio.
Decompression Chamber is Tuesday Musical’s series aimed easing stress in Akron workplaces.
“Listening to classical music has lots of benefits. Research shows that it can decrease stress, boost brain function, improve productivity, increase physical performance, and even sharpen memory,” explains Cyndee Snider, Tuesday Musical’s interim executive director.
“We’re delighted to partner with Mustard Seed to share all of those benefits in a great setting that’s known as the living room of Highland Square.”
A former BBC New Generation Artist, Escher has performed at the BBC Proms at Cadogan Hall and is a regular guest at London’s Wigmore Hall. In its home town of New York City, the ensemble serves as Season Artists of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center. Escher also is Tuesday Musical’s quartet in residence.
