Based in Limerick in the west of Ireland, the Irish Chamber Orchestra is regarded as one of Ireland's greatest jewels. Its reputation as a fresh and exciting ensemble continues to grow under the direction of Anthony Marwood, with a schedule that includes international tours, hosting the annual Killaloe Music Festival each July, and maintaining a broad base of concertizing at home.

Violinist Anthony Marwood is a well-recognized soloist and conductor. He was recently named Instrumentalist of the Year at the Royal Philharmonic Society Awards, the first string player to receive this honor in more than a decade, confirming him as one of the most sought-after and versatile violinists of his generation. A regular soloist/director with the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields, Marwood is also on the staff at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London.
