Tuesday Musical has a long and storied history. What began in 1887 continues to this day and one of its resources lies with its membership. Yes, Tuesday Musical Association is a membership organization and with that comes many additional benefits. As a member, you can take great pride in being involved in an organization that presents one of the longest running concert series in the nation.

As a new member, you will discover that Tuesday Musical’s mission embraces both classical music and education and has remained committed to the vision that began in 1887. While the concert series showcases classical music at its best, it’s the myriad educational opportunities that build future audiences.

• The Student Complimentary Ticket Program provides any student with free tickets to all of our concerts and, literally, thousands of students have taken advantage of this program.
• The statewide Scholarship Program has awarded hundreds of scholarships to college students majoring in music, distributing thousands of dollars every year.
• The Brahms Allegro Junior Music Club provides both listening and performing opportunities for elementary, junior and senior high school students.

As a member, we hope you can attend Tuesday Musical’s afternoon/evening musical programs that highlight Tuesday Musical musicians and guest artists. Musicians featured on these programs often have highly successful performing careers themselves. This is a wonderful way to meet new friends who share a common interest in music. Afternoon meetings begin at 1 pm with an hour concert followed by refreshments; evening programs begin at 7:30 pm. These meetings are held in area homes, the Woman's City Club, Akron Art Museum or other public venues.

The only requisite for membership is that you purchase an annual season subscription, pay annual dues of $40 and support Tuesday Musical’s mission.

MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of Tuesday Musical Association, as a volunteer-managed non-profit classical music organization, is to provide
a premier concert series for the community, a comprehensive educational and scholarship program for young people, and
performing and listening opportunities for its members and guests.
